About the role:

The School of Arts and Media is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to contribute to our undergraduate Fashion Design course. Fashion Design at the University of Lancashire has an excellent reputation, with strong graduate success and consistently high NSS scores, and sits within a well-established Fashion and Textiles team.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inclusive teaching that supports students in developing creative, research-informed fashion practice, combining both theoretical and practical approaches. You will work collaboratively within the team, contributing to curriculum development and the ongoing success of a dynamic and industry-focused programme.

About you:

You will have teaching experience in a higher education environment in a relevant subject, be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and have strong knowledge of garment manufacture. 

For this role you are required to have an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and a relevant postgraduate qualification.

About the role:

The School of Arts and Media is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Sound Design to contribute to the academic development, course management, teaching, research development and scholarship of Sound Design within the School. The role will include teaching, module leadership, supporting student recruitment and progression, contributing to quality assurance and enhancement, developing links with industry and employers, and supporting the continued improvement of the student experience.

You will also contribute to the School’s wider academic objectives through teaching, research and income-generating activity, including potential involvement in consultancy, training and funded projects. The role will require you to work collaboratively with colleagues while also taking responsibility for duties relevant to the School’s activities and appropriate to the level of the post. 

About you:

You will have experience of teaching in a higher education environment in a relevant subject, with evidence of outstanding delivery and learning support along with a flexible and innovative approach to teaching. 

You will bring strong technical knowledge and practical experience, including experience with Avid S4/S6 control surfaces. You will also be able to teach and supervise projects up to master’s level. 

You will hold an undergraduate degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject and a postgraduate qualification. A Protools certification and relevant Sound Design Industry experience are also essential.
