About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the University of Lancashire’s Security team at our Preston campus. As a Control Room Operator, you will play a key role in supporting the safety and wellbeing of our University community. You will monitor and manage CCTV and security systems, respond to enquiries and incidents, and provide clear, helpful guidance to colleagues and campus users.

Working at the heart of campus operations, you will liaise closely with officers across our sites, ensuring information is shared effectively and accurately recorded. This is a role that combines attention to detail with a calm, approachable presence, helping to create an environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to succeed.

The role follows a rotating shift pattern of 2 x 12-hour days, 2 x 12-hour nights, followed by 4 rest days, with flexibility to support other shifts and campuses when required.

About you:

A range of GCSEs, including English Language and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning is required for this role.

About the role:

We are recruiting a part time Buildings Cleaner to provide a high-quality cleaning service to our buildings; cleaning both internally and externally as required using equipment provided. The role is based at our Preston campus. 

The working pattern for this role will be Monday – Friday 06:30 – 09:45
