As a Control Room Operator, you will play a key role in supporting the safety and wellbeing of our University community. You will monitor and manage CCTV and security systems, respond to enquiries and incidents, and provide clear, helpful guidance to colleagues and campus users.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">Working at the heart of campus operations, you will liaise closely with officers across our sites, ensuring information is shared effectively and accurately recorded. This is a role that combines attention to detail with a calm, approachable presence, helping to create an environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to succeed.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">The role follows a rotating shift pattern of 2 x 12-hour days, 2 x 12-hour nights, followed by 4 rest days, with flexibility to support other shifts and campuses when required.<br></span></p><p id="isPasted"><span style="font-size: 18px;"><strong>About you:</strong></span></p><div id="isPasted"><span style="font-size: 18px;">You will have experience in a in customer‑focused environment, including in security settings, with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proven ability to remain calm under pressure.</span></div><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">A range of GCSEs, including English Language and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning is required for this role.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;"><strong>Use of AI in applications:</strong> We want to understand your genuine interest in the role and artificial intelligence can be a useful tool to support your application.
